“Kotwalia” is an Indigenous forest dwelling community from the Narmada Basin in Gujarat, India. The community is classified as the most vulnerable tribal group (PVTG) of Indian tribes because of their pre-agricultural level of technology, prevailing poverty and very low literacy rate. The number of Kotwalias weaving bamboo is dwindling, along with the traditional product range.
